You are a short drive from Calabash, North Carolina, the home of calabash-style fried seafood. ADVENTURE Travel by Kayak or paddleboard through the salt marshes and waterways. Local outfitters will set you up with everything you need, including gear, training, tips and the best routes to take. You can also go with a guide. How about a game of golf? Choose from over 30 championship courses. Book a fishing charter or a boat tour or even a floating tiki hut! CULTURE Visit galleries, a museum, a planetarium, or winery right here on the Brunswick islands or take in a show at the near-by Myrtle Beach. BEACHES With 8 miles of clean, sandy beaches and year-round moderate temperatures, it is no wonder National Geographic Traveler Magazine rated Holden Beach one of the best family beaches in the country. COFFEE Cafe Ahora is located on the Causeway, offering coffee, tea, food, snacks and more. Ocean Boulevard Coffee is located at 132 OBW. You can't beat sipping your coffee under a swaying palm. Aunt Irene's offers coffee and homemade treats, including cinnamon buns big enough to share. This delightful spot has been written up in Southern Living and Southern Lady magazines. WALKING & BIKING You can find several walking and biking trails near by. We recommend you use the TrailLink App for maps and guides. There is a new bike lane added to Ocean Blvd as of winter 2023-2024. Ocean Blvd also has wonderful sidewalks and exercise stations along the west end (where we are located). You’ll have both ocean and marsh views that can’t be beat. Don’t forget the beach strand! SHOPPING There are hundreds of shops to choose from, fitting every budget and style.
